Adquisición de planta para el Grupo Orbis​

The chemical company Andercol, a subsidiary of Orbis Group, was authorized by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce to acquire assets from the Polisuin chemical plant located in the Mamonal sector in Cartagena. The investment in the purchase and adaptation of the plant exceeds 12 million dollars, which will expand its production capacity of polyester resins for international markets.

 

The manager of Andercol, Rodolfo Bayona, explained the operations of the plant will start in August and will be added to the two existing ones in Colombia, and to those that operate in Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador and Mexico.

 

"This acquisition of assets offers competitive advantages, especially in the export market; we will be nearer to the port which will favor our logistic process, we will achieve greater competitiveness, better service to our local customers, lower carbon footprint, generation of employment in the area, and it is an important commitment that strengthens the national manufacturing industry in the chemical sector ", he pointed out.

 

With the entry into operations of the plant, the company expects to increase exports by 20 percent in the first year and double in the medium term, to continue strengthening its leadership in the Latin American market.
